Sir,
I have laid before My Lords Commissioners
of the Admiralty your letters of the 20th June and of the
ult
25th fretant on the subject of hospital accommodation to
be provided at Hong Kong in time of War.
2.-
In reply, I am to acquaint you for the information
of Mr Secretary Lyttelton that their Lordships concur in
the view of the Commander-in-Chief on the China Station
that provision should be made for 1000 wounded, 400 being
accommodated at the Civil Hospital, and 600 at the Naval
Hospital, and at expansions of these establishments
respectively.
